Lucky Treats
Lucky Charms bring so much perfection to breakfast or a snack, crisp toasted oats combined with the best marshmallow shaped bits! Where else can you find the sweetest hearts, stars, horseshoes, rainbows, clovers…
Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day (or any day really!), our Lucky Treats hit the spot, especially if you have a special cookie cutter.
The Lucky Treats start off by coating a baking pan and wooden spoon generously with baking spray.
Next, melt the butter and marshmallows together in a large stock pot. Once totally combined, turn off the heat and add the vanilla extract. Add in the cereal.
Working quickly, stir the cereal into the pot. Add the white chocolate chips and pour the mixture into the prepared dish. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
For the topping, scatter the remaining cereal, chocolate chips and sprinkles over the dough, pressing gently to adhere.
Allow the treats to cool and then cut into simple squares or shapes. Cut into squares with a sharp knife, dipping in hot water (and drying it off) in between cuts if necessary, for clean squares.
Lucky Treats made as shown are totally gluten free! Be sure to check that all ingredients are certified gluten free.
The very best part is that the no bake Lucky Treats is that they do not require any special tools and you can make with simple pantry items. They are easy for a beginner and perfect for sharing with friends or Leprechaun’s!
