Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix
It’s Fall, ya’ll! When raking leaves call for cozy sweaters and the fall days are crisp, our Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix is exactly right for the holiday season. The Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix is perfect for Friendsgiving or the main event itself!
Try the warm spice combination over the mix, it is incredible! It goes terrific with a toasty fire and apple cider.
The Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix can be customized based on your taste and preference. It is so fun to gather up all of the ingredients (I do this over a few weeks, sometimes with leftover Halloween candy, too) and see what kind of harvest related candy is available at the market. Try to choose colorful and flavorful snacks- a mix of salty and sweet usually balances each handful. The options are endless!
If you have dietary concerns, you can easily adjust this recipe for allergies, vegan or gluten free restrictions, just watch out for all of the labels.
Our Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix starts by setting out all of the ingredients and unwrapping what you need first. To assemble, think about making a lasagna. First, pour an even layer of each: pretzels, seasonal chips, chocolate cereal, popcorn, and pecans. Next layer the pumpkin spice marshmallows, semi-sweet and butterscotch chips, and warm spice blend. Mix carefully by hand all of the ingredients. Finally, place the pumpkin mellowcreame, candy corn, and cream filled French wafers on top.
Mix carefully by hand all of the ingredients. Try not to sneak a bite! You may want to save a few colorful items for the very top when the Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix is first opened.
The Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix is a quintessential make ahead snack and you can easily double the batch. Buy a large wood bowl or sealable snack container, fill it up with bring it along. The snack travels well.
Bonus- make Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix Snack Mix Brownies for dessert or that big November shopping trip! Prepare brownie batter according to the box’s instructions. Stir in 1 ½ cups of the Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix Snack Mix to the brownie batter. Place in the baking dish. Top with 1 cup of the Thanksgiving Harvest Snack Mix and bake as directed.

Notes:
· If you have dietary concerns, I found one brand of candy corn and pumpkins that are made in a peanut and tree nut facility. You can make this recipe vegan or gluten free too; just watch out for all of the labels.
· Get creative, adjust the ingredients to suit your personal taste! Try different cereal, cookies, nuts, caramel bits, fall jellybeans and peanut butter coated chocolate drops. Note, the jellybeans will fall to the bottom, so add the candy last.
· The mix makes approximately two-three 64 oz. large food storage plastic containers, depending on your selections.
· Use clear 6x9 treat bags tied with brown, golden and orange ribbon for parties.
· Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a month.
